Firmware Guide for P1MeterKit

This page explains how to (re)install the firmware for your P1MeterKit. This device is Wi‑Fi only.

Flashing Methods

1) Adopt in ESPHome (OTA preferred)

1. Open ESPHome in Home Assistant.
2. Use Adopt to add the P1MeterKit.
3. Then either:
   • Make changes to the YAML and click Update to deploy OTA, or
   • Simply click Update on the adopted device to reinstall the current configuration.

2) Flash via USB‑C (alternative)

1. Connect the P1MeterKit to your computer with a USB‑C cable.
2. Download the .bin from our GitHub repository: p1meterkit/bin
   • Choose the Wi‑Fi image (e.g. p1meterkit-software*.bin).
3. Use the web flasher to upload the firmware: ESPHome Web Flasher
4. Follow the on‑screen steps until install completes.

Note: Flashing resets settings, and you may need to re‑adopt the device in Home Assistant.
