The P1MeterKit comes with a one-year warranty from the date of purchase. For warranty claims or technical support, please contact our customer service team at smarthomeshop.io/contact.

Handcrafted Quality ​

Every P1MeterKit is handmade with care by our team:

  • 3D-printed housing — Each enclosure is printed in-house
  • Hand-soldered — All components are manually soldered
  • Hand-flashed & tested — Every unit is individually flashed and tested
  • Hand-folded packaging — Even our product boxes are folded by hand
  • Dual quality control — Each unit passes inspection by two independent team members during assembly and before shipping

Warranty Coverage ​

What's Covered ​

✅ Manufacturing defects in the P1MeterKit hardware
✅ Hardware component failures under normal use
✅ Firmware issues with the official SmartHomeShop firmware
✅ Non-functional units on arrival (DOA)

What's Not Covered ​

❌ Physical damage from drops or impacts
❌ Water or moisture damage
❌ Damage from improper installation or incorrect power supply
❌ Modified hardware (soldering, component swaps)
❌ Custom firmware or third-party firmware modifications
❌ Software changes that render the device non-functional
❌ Configuration changes that deviate from our documentation
❌ Normal wear and tear

Device Enclosure — Important Notice ​

The P1MeterKit housing is designed for indoor use only (IP20 classification).

⚠️ Not Water/Moisture Resistant ​

The device enclosure is NOT waterproof or moisture-resistant. Installation in humid or damp environments can damage the internal electronics.

⚠️ Warranty Exclusion: Damage caused by water ingress or moisture is not covered by warranty.

Suitable Installation Locations ​

  • ✅ Indoor meter cabinets
  • ✅ Dry utility rooms
  • ✅ Normal indoor environments

Locations to Avoid ​

  • ❌ Outdoor locations
  • ❌ Damp basements or cellars
  • ❌ Near water sources
  • ❌ High humidity environments

Third-Party Modifications ​

The P1MeterKit uses open-source ESPHome firmware, making it fully customizable.

What's Covered ​

✅ Firmware issues with the official SmartHomeShop firmware

What's Not Covered ​

We cannot provide warranty or support for:

  • 🔧 Custom firmware modifications or third-party firmware
  • 🔧 Hardware modifications (soldering, component swaps)
  • 🔧 Software changes that cause the device to malfunction
  • 🔧 Configuration changes that deviate from our documentation
  • 🔧 Damage from improper power supply (using non-standard voltages)
