Home Assistant Integration

CeilSense first connects to Home Assistant as an ESPHome device. The optional SmartHomeShop.io integration then adds the dedicated panel, room cards and calculated room-quality features without replacing the native entities.

CeilSense Features

  • prominent CO2, temperature and humidity values;
  • room-quality and ventilation guidance;
  • presence and configured zone views;
  • access to the underlying sensor and LED entities for your own automations.

Extra Entities Added by the Integration

Entity What it does
Room Quality (CC) Calculates a weighted 0-10 score from the available CO2, temperature and humidity readings. Missing readings are excluded; attributes contain source statuses and recommendations.
Room Quality Label (CC) Converts the score into Excellent, Good, Fair, Moderate, Poor or Unknown.
Room Quality Percentage (CC) Converts the score to 0-100% for gauges, thresholds and automations.

The original CO2, temperature, humidity, presence, target and zone entities remain ESPHome entities and are not duplicated. See the complete CeilSense entity reference.

Install the integration, select CeilSense and choose the matching ESPHome device. Follow the complete Home Assistant Integration guide for HACS installation, cards, entities, energy features and troubleshooting.

The custom integration is optional. All native CeilSense entities described in Sensor Definitions remain usable with standard Home Assistant cards.
