Hardware Versions
CeilSense V1 is one hardware generation with two sensor levels and modular radar options. It is sold out; its successor is CeilSense V2.
Overview
| Version | Chip | Connectivity | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| V1 Basic | ESP32-S3 | WiFi and Ethernet | Presence and ambient sensing platform without the SCD4x CO2 module |
| V1 Complete | ESP32-S3 | WiFi and Ethernet | Full sensor platform including SCD4x CO2, temperature and humidity |
Radar Options
Both hardware levels support modular presence radar:
| Radar | Purpose |
|---|---|
| LD2412 | Sensitive presence detection (moving and still targets) |
| LD2450 | Multi-target tracking |
Firmware Variants
Every hardware and radar combination is available as WiFi or Ethernet firmware, each in a local and a SmartHomeShop App (cloud) build. See the Firmware Guide for the exact files and how to switch between them.
Which Version Do I Have?
Check the Hardware Version diagnostic entity in Home Assistant, which shows for example v1-complete-wifi-ld2412, or look at the version label on the device. Devices with the SCD4x CO2 module report CO2, temperature and humidity entities. That is the Complete model.
Thread?
CeilSense V1 uses an ESP32-S3, which has no Thread radio. CeilSense connects over WiFi or Ethernet. SmartHomeShop products with Thread support are listed on their own Thread pages, for example the UltimateSensor Mini v2.
