Warranty Coverage

The UltimateSensor Mini comes with a one-year warranty from the date of purchase.

What's Covered

  • Manufacturing defects
  • Hardware component failures under normal use
  • Non-functional units on arrival (DOA)
  • Issues with official firmware

What's Not Covered

  • Physical damage from drops or impacts
  • Water or moisture damage
  • Damage from improper installation
  • Modified hardware or firmware (third-party modifications)
  • Custom or third-party firmware issues
  • Software changes that render the device non-functional
  • Configuration changes that deviate from default settings
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Cosmetic damage (scratches, discoloration)

Handcrafted Quality

Every UltimateSensor Mini is handcrafted with care in the Netherlands:

  • 3D-printed housing — Each enclosure is printed in-house
  • Hand-soldered — All components are manually soldered
  • Hand-flashed & tested — Every unit is individually programmed and tested
  • Hand-folded packaging — Even our product boxes are folded by hand
  • Dual quality control — Each unit passes inspection by two independent team members during assembly and before shipping

Product-Specific Information

Housing & Finish

The UltimateSensor Mini housing is 3D-printed and may have visible layer lines, which is normal for this manufacturing process.

Important:

  • Avoid placing in direct sunlight — UV exposure can cause yellowing of the plastic
  • Yellowing or discoloration from sunlight is not covered under warranty
  • Handle with care to avoid scratches

Sensors & Accuracy

We strive for accurate sensor readings, but please note:

  • Sensor accuracy depends on proper placement and calibration
  • Environmental factors (heat, humidity, placement) affect readings
  • Sensors may require calibration after relocation
  • Third-party sensor specifications are provided by their manufacturers

We are not responsible for:

  • Inaccurate readings due to environmental factors
  • Changes in sensor behavior due to third-party software updates
  • User modifications to sensor configuration

Voice Assistant & Audio

The voice assistant functionality depends on:

  • Proper Home Assistant configuration
  • WiFi signal quality
  • Home Assistant voice processing setup

Voice and audio issues related to configuration are not hardware defects.

Third-Party Modifications

The UltimateSensor Mini uses open-source ESPHome firmware, and we encourage tinkering! However:

  • Custom firmware modifications are not covered under warranty
  • Hardware modifications void the warranty
  • If you modify the device and need help, our Discord community is a great resource

Custom Assembled Products

The UltimateSensor Mini is assembled per order based on customer specifications. Therefore:

  • Assembled and installed units cannot be returned
  • Please verify your selection before ordering

Returns

For return requests:

  1. Contact us within 14 days of delivery
  2. Device must be in original condition
  3. Include all original accessories
  4. Customer is responsible for return shipping costs

Note: Units that have been configured and used cannot be returned as new.
