Firmware Guide for WaterFlowKit

This page explains how to (re)install the firmware for your WaterFlowKit.

Flashing Methods

1) Adopt in ESPHome (OTA preferred)

1. Open ESPHome in Home Assistant.
2. Use Adopt to add the WaterFlowKit.
3. Then either:
   • Make changes to the YAML and click Update to deploy OTA, or
   • Simply click Update on the adopted device to reinstall the current configuration.

2) Flash via USB‑C

1. Connect the WaterFlowKit to your computer with a USB‑C cable.
2. Download the .bin from our GitHub repository: smarthomeshop/waterflowkit
   • Prefer building via ESPHome? Use the YAML: waterflowkit.yaml
3. Use the web flasher to upload the firmware: ESPHome Web Flasher
4. Follow the on‑screen steps until install completes.

Note: Flashing can reset settings, and you may need to re‑adopt the device in Home Assistant.
