Firmware Guide for WaterFlowKit

This page explains how to (re)install the firmware for your WaterFlowKit.

Flashing Methods

1) Adopt in ESPHome (OTA preferred)

1. Open ESPHome in Home Assistant.
2. Use Adopt to add the WaterFlowKit.
3. Then either:
   • Make changes to the YAML and click Update to deploy OTA, or
   • Simply click Update on the adopted device to reinstall the current configuration.

2) Flash via USB‑C using our website

1. Connect the WaterFlowKit to your computer with a USB‑C cable.
2. Open the flasher: https://smarthomeshop.io/en/firmware?product=waterflowkit
3. Select the desired firmware variant, click Connect, then Install, and follow the prompts.

Notes

• Flashing can reset settings; you may need to re‑adopt the device in Home Assistant after a factory flash.
• Advanced users can also build from source: waterflowkit.yaml
