Home Assistant Integration
Water Flow Kit exposes its measurements through ESPHome. The optional SmartHomeShop.io integration adds water cards and calculated flow or leak insights.
Water Flow Kit Features
- current flow state and measured water use;
- history and continuous-flow insights;
- leak indicators for supported configurations;
- native entities for shut-off or notification automations where hardware permits.
Extra Entities Added by the Integration
The integration treats Flow 1 and Flow 2 independently. On WaterFlowKit V2, Flow 3 and Flow 4 stay available as regular ESPHome entities:
| Entity | What it does |
|---|---|
Flow 1 leak alarm (CC) |
Turns on when line 1's learned leak model considers a leak likely. Attributes include the likely leak type, total score and confidence. |
Flow 2 leak alarm (CC) |
Provides the same independent smart leak alarm for line 2. |
For each configured line, Home Assistant also receives daily, weekly, monthly and yearly Utility Meter helpers. One line adds four helpers; two lines add eight. The detailed session and flow analysis remains available in the SmartHomeShop panel. See the complete WaterFlowKit entity reference.
Install the integration, select WaterFlowKit and choose the matching ESPHome device. Follow the complete Home Assistant Integration guide for installation, cards, entities and troubleshooting.
An electronic leak indication is not a certified flood alarm. Retain suitable physical protection and inspect the installation regularly.
