Locations and Alerts
Locations separate devices belonging to different homes, buildings or installations. Alerts notify you when a supported measurement crosses a rule threshold.
Locations
Free and Plus accounts support one location. Multiple locations are available on Pro and Business:
| Plan | Maximum locations |
|---|---|
| Free | 1 |
| Plus | 1 |
| Pro | 50 |
| Business | 200 |
Create a location with a recognisable name, assign its address or coordinates only where a feature needs them, and then assign devices. The Devices page shows the location and can filter the list when the account contains more than one.
Changing a device location does not rewrite older measurements. It changes how the device is organised from that point onward.
Alert Rules
Alerts currently send email notifications. Push notifications and outgoing webhooks are not currently active alert channels.
- Open the device and choose Alert rules.
- Select a measurement, condition and threshold, or start from a suggestion.
- Set a cooldown when the plan allows it.
- Save the rule. Alerts go to the email address of your account.
Limits by Plan
| Plan | Rules per device | Minimum cooldown |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 | Fixed at 60 minutes |
| Plus | Up to 20 | 5 minutes |
| Pro | Unlimited | 1 minute |
| Business | Unlimited | 1 minute |
The Activity page lists the alerts of the last 90 days and the devices that are offline now.
Cooldown prevents a noisy sensor from sending the same notification continuously. An alert is a monitoring aid, not a certified alarm system. Use approved safety equipment for fire, gas, flooding and other critical protection.
