Overview
Pre-release documentation. CeilSense V2 has not been officially released yet. The design, specifications and firmware can still change until release. Check ceilsense.nl for the current planning.
Have CeilSense V1? Use the CeilSense V1 documentation. V1 and V2 use different hardware and firmware.
CeilSense V2 is a ceiling sensor for Home Assistant that disappears into a spotlight hole. With a radar module it sees whether someone is in the room, even when that person sits still. It measures light and air pressure, and with the optional SCD41 module also CO2, temperature and humidity. A ring of 16 RGB LEDs shines down and a built-in buzzer can give a signal.
CeilSense V2 is the successor of CeilSense V1: the same layout, the same LED ring shining down and the same three power options. Hardware Versions explains what changed and how V2 compares to the Mini and the Pro.

How You Buy It
CeilSense V2 is sold as a base plus modules.
| Part | What it is |
|---|---|
| Base | Recessed housing with spring clips, light sensor, air pressure sensor, RGB LED ring, buzzer, WiFi and Ethernet, and power through 110 to 240 V, PoE or USB-C |
| Radar | One configuration of your choice: LD2412 + LD2450, LD2460 or LD6002B |
| SCD41 module | Optional, adds CO2, temperature and humidity |
The base has no radar and no SCD41. Without modules it measures no presence, CO2, temperature or humidity. Per base unit you receive one of each selected module.
You receive the modules loose for self-assembly, or you choose the assembly service: we fit the selected radar and SCD41 in the device for a supplement per device. Ceiling mounting and electrical installation are not included. Always disconnect power before self-assembly. See Radar and Sensor Modules for how to choose and fit them.
