Sensor Definitions
This page lists every entity in the current WallSense firmware, a WiFi test build.
Note: Entity names can change until release.
Home Assistant builds entity IDs from your device name and the entity name, for example sensor.wallsense_scd41_co2. Your IDs can differ per installation.
All entities are enabled by default. Config and Diagnostic in the tables below refer to the sections on the device page in Home Assistant where these entities appear.
Presence

LD2412 Presence |
Binary sensor | Someone is detected, moving or still | |
LD2412 Moving Target |
Binary sensor | A moving target is detected | |
LD2412 Still Target |
Binary sensor | A still target is detected | |
LD2412 Moving Distance |
Sensor | cm | Distance to the moving target |
LD2412 Still Distance |
Sensor | cm | Distance to the still target |
LD2412 Moving Energy |
Sensor | % | Signal strength of the moving target |
LD2412 Still Energy |
Sensor | % | Signal strength of the still target |

LD2450 Radar
The LD2450 tracks up to three people with X/Y coordinates.
| Entity | Type | Unit | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
LD2450 Presence |
Binary sensor | At least one target is tracked | |
LD2450 Moving Target |
Binary sensor | At least one target is moving | |
LD2450 Still Target |
Binary sensor | At least one target is still | |
LD2450 Target Count |
Sensor | Number of tracked targets, 0 to 3 | |
LD2450 Still Target Count |
Sensor | Number of still targets | |
LD2450 Moving Target Count |
Sensor | Number of moving targets | |
LD2450 Target 1 X |
Sensor | mm | Position left or right of the sensor |
LD2450 Target 1 Y |
Sensor | mm | Position straight ahead of the sensor |
LD2450 Target 1 Speed |
Sensor | mm/s | Speed, positive when moving away, negative when approaching |
LD2450 Target 1 Distance |
Sensor | mm | Distance to the target |
LD2450 Target 1 Angle |
Sensor | ° | Angle to the target, 0° is straight ahead |
LD2450 Target 2 X to LD2450 Target 2 Angle and LD2450 Target 3 X to LD2450 Target 3 Angle work the same way. The target entities are unknown when that target is gone.

Text sensor | Diagnostic | Firmware of the module |
LD2450 MAC |
Text sensor | Diagnostic | MAC address of the module |
Air Quality and Climate
Both the SHT45 and the SCD41 report temperature and humidity. The SHT45 is the primary climate sensor, the SCD41 gives CO2.
| Entity | Type | Unit | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
SCD41 CO2 |
Sensor | ppm | CO2 concentration, new value every 30 seconds |
SHT45 Temperature |
Sensor | °C | Temperature, primary climate sensor |
SHT45 Humidity |
Sensor | % | Relative humidity, primary climate sensor |
SCD41 Temperature |
Sensor | °C | Temperature from the SCD41 |
SCD41 Humidity |
Sensor | % | Relative humidity from the SCD41 |
SGP41 VOC Index |
Sensor | VOC index, 1 to 500 | |
SGP41 NOx Index |
Sensor | NOx index, 1 to 500 |
The SGP41 values are indices, not ppm. The SGP41 uses the SHT45 readings for compensation.
Calibration Settings
| Entity | Type | Category | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
SHT45 Temperature Offset |
Number | Config | Correction in °C |
SHT45 Humidity Offset |
Number | Config | Correction in % |
SCD41 Extra Temperature Offset |

CO2 Manual Calibration |
Button | Config | Forces the CO2 reading to 426 ppm in fresh air. Use with care |
The four offsets run from -20 to +20 in steps of 0.1, start at 0 and are kept after a restart. See Calibration.

Not in the Current Firmware
These functions have no entities yet:
- the front LED, which is internal and only gives touch feedback;
- radar settings such as presence timeout and sensitivity per distance gate;
- radar zones;
- Ethernet information, which follows with the Ethernet firmware.
