Technical Specifications

Pre-release documentation. WallSense has not been officially released yet. The design, specifications and firmware can still change until release. Check smarthomeshop.io/wallsense/en for the current planning.

Hardware

  • Processor: ESP32-C6
  • Flash: 4 MB
  • Use: indoor only

Mechanical

  • Front: 55 × 55 mm, the outer size of Gira System 55
  • Module depth: 26 mm
  • Installation depth with Ethernet/PoE and a bare RJ45 connector without a boot: about 40 mm
  • Mounting: round 60 mm back box, 60 mm screw centers
  • Orientation: flush with the wall, facing into the room, cannot be rotated
  • Air openings: around the housing, do not block them

Power

  • PoE over Ethernet, through a PoE switch or PoE injector
  • 110 to 240 V AC mains, connected by a qualified installer
  • USB-C is only for flashing firmware and is not a power option

Network

  • WiFi 6 at 2.4 GHz
  • Ethernet with PoE, firmware will follow at release
  • Bluetooth 5 LE, not used by the current firmware
  • Thread through the built-in 802.15.4 radio, firmware follows at release

Sensors

  • Presence: HLK-LD2412, 24 GHz mmWave radar
  • Position: HLK-LD2450, 24 GHz mmWave radar
  • CO2: Sensirion SCD41, 400 to 5,000 ppm
  • VOC and NOx: Sensirion SGP41, index 1 to 500
  • Temperature and humidity: Sensirion SHT45, sensor specification up to ±0.1 °C and up to ±1.0 %RH
  • Ambient light: Vishay VEML6030, in lux
  • Particulate matter: not included

The sensor specification of the SHT45 is not the accuracy in the wall. In a wall box, temperature depends on the installation.

Radar Modules

These are module specifications from Hi-Link, not a guaranteed WallSense range. Mounting, the frame, obstacles and settings affect detection, and range can be shorter when people sit still.

The room tool on the product site uses the Hi-Link figure × 0.8. WallSense has no camera.
